The US PHILIPPINES SOCIETY, based in Washington DC, commissioned me to create an animated illustration to be attached for their holiday E-card. The goal of the organization is to build on the rich and long-standing historical ties between the U.S. and the Philippines. Their mission inspired me to use a girl wearing the traditional terno dress as the centerpiece while holding a glowing parol (star-shaped lantern) as a symbol of friendship and hospitality. The illustration and animation were created using Adobe Photoshop and After Effects, respectively.
